Just wanted to say a huge thank you for organising such a fantastic holiday for us. It was faultless, we loved every minute of it. Buffalo tours were great – it was good to know we weren’t ‘abandoned in Vietnam’! We managed to arrange to stay on until 4 pm at the Pu Luong hotel – buffalo tour guide arranged it for us with no fuss.
The hotels were just great – the Victoria in Hoi An was gorgeous, great staff, food, location, just what we needed to recover from journey. We loved that the hotel had a colonial feel.
The Hotel in Hue was poor – but I chose that one!!!! The location was fab, right in the centre, the bedroom was ok, but breakfast grim! I will know to go with your suggestions next time!!
The Aphrodite boat trip on Halong bay was magical, stunning cabin with balcony.
Essence Hotel in Hanoi a delight, right in the centre of the action, lovely rooms, stunning breakfasts, and standout staff – they were so friendly and helpful. And finally Pu Luong, breathtaking hotel in stunning location, with some great guided walks.
We ate our way round Vietnam, with a bit of culture, bit of sightseeing, bit of shopping, bit of walking thrown in, which was perfect, and apart from meeting up with daughter Sophie and her boyfriend, which was obviously the ‘main event’ for us, we still cant choose our favourite between the hotels.
Wondering about Sri Lanka next year…………..!!
